WORLDBEETER

Listing and removal policy

Last updated [date]

Worldbeeter lists novels that show strong reader demand in their home country, so that English-language buyers can discover them. This page explains what we publish, how rights holders take control of a listing, and how to correct or remove one.

What an unclaimed listing contains

Before a rights holder claims a book, its listing shows only factual information from public sources:

  • Title, author, original publisher and year of publication
  • Public demand signals, such as rating counts and averages, bestseller chart weeks, prizes and audiobook chart positions
  • Whether an English edition or screen adaptation is publicly known
  • A short description written by Worldbeeter

Unclaimed listings never include cover images, excerpts, translations or publisher marketing copy. Rights are always shown as "not confirmed." A listing does not mean the publisher or author endorses Worldbeeter.

Claiming a listing

Publishers, agents and authors who hold rights can claim a listing for free. We verify claims using a work email at the publisher or agency, or other reasonable proof of rights. Once verified, the rights holder can confirm which rights they hold, correct the listing, add materials, and approve which buyers see their contact details and pitch pack.

Sample translations and pitch packs

We only commission a sample translation or pitch pack with the rights holder's written permission, under a signed listing agreement. Translators are always credited.

Corrections and removal

Anyone can report an error. Rights holders and authors can ask us to remove a listing at any time, and we will remove it within [5] working days. Email rights@worldbeeter.com with the title and your relationship to the book.

Fees

Listing and claiming are free. Where a rights holder signs a listing agreement, Worldbeeter earns a share only when a deal starts through Worldbeeter, on the terms set out in that agreement.

Scores

Demand scores are calculated from public signals only. Payment never changes a book's score or rank.
